Let's Break Down All Five of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. End- Credits Scenes. Marvel movies are known for their teasing mid- and post- credits scenes, but with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. Some are jokes, but some have huge ramifications for future Marvel movies. Here’s how and why. Kraglin’s Accident. After helping the Guardians and losing his mentor Yondu, we see the Ravager Kraglin (Sean Gunn) on the Guardians’ ship, practicing with Yondu’s fin and arrow. He’s not very good at it but he does get the arrow moving.. Does that mean he’ll be with them in Infinity War? More likely he’ll be part of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. The Original Guardians Reunite. Various characters reunite at the funeral of Yondu, including three of the movie’s key cameos. We see Stakar—a. k. Starhawk in the comics—played by Sylvester Stallone, Ving Rhames as Charlie- 2. Michelle Yeoh as Aleta Ogord, Krugar, and Mainframe (voiced by Miley Cyrus, if you can believe it). Yes, this is basically a reunion of Marvel’s original Guardians of the Galaxy team, from the late . You will not see them again until Guardians 3 at the earliest,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told io. Which is all that is. Which, again, just gives James another set of tools to play with as he’s piecing together future stories.”3) The Creation of Adam Warlock. Since the very first announcement of a Guardians of the Galaxy movie, fans have been asking when other famous cosmic Marvel characters would appear. We still don’t know about Nova, but now we know about the powerful Adam Warlock. The scene shows Sovereign leader Ayesha (seen above), still mad at her defeat at the hands of the Guardians, with a giant pod. She claims her greatest creation is inside.. Feige told us. Our version of Infinity War is the culmination of all the stories we’ve told up to this point. James had ideas to introduce Adam certainly in volume two, maybe even in part one. But part two for sure. Which were great, but the way the story was coming together, there just wasn’t time for that. But it became more for him to sort of ring that bell so that we can play with it at some point in the future.”4) Teen Groot. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. Groot is still very small. In this tag scene, however, we see that more time has passed and Groot is now an annoying teenager, with Star- Lord almost acting as his father. So we can expect Groot to be at least this size in Infinity War, or, more likely, having continued to grow back into his full, original size. The Stan Lee Theory Confirmed? The final credits scene in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. We once again see Stan Lee in space talking to several large- headed characters comics fans know as a powerful alien race called the Watchers. Lee mentions his cameo as a delivery man in Captain America: Civil War, dropping the potential suggestion that Lee’s character who has cameoed in every Marvel movie, has always been the same person—or maybe even a Watcher himself. It’s been a long- running fan joke/theory to tie the comics luminary’s various movie cameos together. James Gunn may have just made it canon.
Kotaku. Tacoma, the new game from the makers of Gone Home, is coming to PC and Xbox One on August 2. That’s surprisingly soon! The game is about uncovering “the mysteries held by Lunar Transfer Station Tacoma and its crew, living at the edge of humanity’s reach.”. It Sounds Like Even the Bumblebee Spinoff Movie Won't Focus on the Transformers. A common complaint about the Transformers movies is that the robots take a backseat to the humans. Sam Witwicky, Cade Yeager—these are the main characters of the Transformers movies, not Optimus Prime and Megatron. You might think a spinoff film focusing on one specific Transformer could change that. But don’t hold your breath. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Hailee Steinfeld is in talks to star in the 2. Bumblebee Transformers spin- off, from Kubo and the Two Stringsdirector Travis Knight. She’ll play “a tomboy who also holds a job as a mechanic after school,” which is both positive and negative. The positive is that I’m a Steinfeld fan. She was amazing in True Grit, gave the best performance of her career in The Edge of Seventeen, and my dirty little secret is I love the Pitch Perfect movies, of which she’s now a star. She’s got a good mix of innocence and confidence that could work well in a big action movie like this. On the other hand, really? Another story about a gritty young kid who becomes friends with a Transformer? Haven’t we already seen this four times already.. Let me guess, she and Bumblebee develop a deep friendship and he ends up saving her and maybe the world too? Now, to be fair, I’m being a bit of an ass about this. I have no idea what the script, written by Christina Hodson, actually entails. But as someone who likes Transformers in general, but not the latest movies, I was hoping the spinoffs would dive a bit deeper into the robots themselves. Doing a movie about Bumblebee, without all the other Autobots, feels like the right place to tell a focused, character- driven story about one of the Transformers—not yet another movie about the relationship between the humans and the robots, which is what all the Michael Bay Transformers movies are about. Knight is the one saving grace here. He’s a director who has no reason to make a movie like this unless he really wants to. As the head of Laika who has a big hand. It’s nice that the star is a young woman this time, but I just hope the differences go beyond that. Knight is the one saving grace here. He’s a director who has no reason to make a movie like this unless he really wants to. As the head of Laika who has a big hand in the amazing films his company makes, the only reason he’d have to devote years of his life to making a Transformers movie is if he connected with the script. So hopefully, whomever Steinfeld plays, it’s a new spin on what we’ve seen several times before. And maybe, that will include the robots getting a starring role. The still- untitled Bumblebee movie is scheduled for release June 8, 2. These pages contain a collection of concise reviews for movies and film-makers that are extreme in various ways. This is an encyclopedia (up to 2016) of fringe.
